What to Expect During Your Laser Genesis Treatment
If you’re a good candidate for treatment, the procedure will be performed on an outpatient basis, with most sessions taking 30 minutes or less to complete. Prior to the procedure, the specialist will discuss your goals with you and recommend a certain number of treatments be performed.
You’ll need to wear protective eyewear during your treatment.
The specialist will move the laser over the target area, and you’ll likely experience a warm sensation on the skin. Your skin’s dermis layers will be the laser’s target and why you experience the warm sensation.
Moisturizer may or not be applied, depending on the technician’s recommendations.
Results are gradual, so you won’t notice an immediate difference, although you may look flush for the first few hours after treatment.
In general, it can take three to four weeks for your body’s collagen levels to continue increasing and for the new cells created by the treatment to move to your skin’s surface.
Multiple sessions, often on a weekly basis, will be required to meet your desired results.
