Laser Genesis: Non-Invasive Skin Treatment for a More Youthful You

Laser Genesis is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that uses laser energy to smooth out wrinkles and blemishes and to tighten skin. It’s also been shown to heal acne scars and stretch marks.

The procedure doesn’t damage your skin’s surface, so you’re able to have the laser treatment performed with no downtime afterward.

Benefits of Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis is a beneficial treatment option for many people because it requires:

  1. No downtime. After your treatment, you can return to your normal activities right away.
  2. No or mild pain. Treatment is designed to be pain-free.
  3. Very few side effects. Laser Genesis is a safe treatment option, and the side effects are typically temporary and mild.
  4. No prescription drugs. There are no drugs involved with the treatment.
  5. Long-lasting results. Treatment results can last up to a year, with no additional treatment.

Treatments may not be effective when trying to treat skin that has severe sun damage or if you suffer from deep wrinkles. A series of four to six treatment sessions may be required to achieve the desired results.

Are You a Good Candidate for Laser Genesis?

Are you pregnant or nursing? If so, you’ll want to hold off on treatment. Otherwise, treatment is safe for all skin types and can be used on all areas of the body.

The only small concerns are if the area where treatment is needed has a:

  • Cut
  • Rash

Men and women of all ages, suffering from wrinkles, acne scars, fine lines, sun damage or other signs of skin aging, may be able to improve their appearance with this state-of-the-art treatment.

Will You Need to Maintain Your Laser Skin Treatment?

Laser Genesis provides great results, but you’ll need to go back for treatment to maintain results. You’ll likely need to back for maintenance treatments annually to keep your skin looking its best.

The great news is that you can go in for a procedure in the morning and be working by noon – there’s no downtime whatsoever.

What to Expect During Your Laser Genesis Treatment

If you’re a good candidate for treatment, the procedure will be performed on an outpatient basis, with most sessions taking 30 minutes or less to complete. Prior to the procedure, the specialist will discuss your goals with you and recommend a certain number of treatments be performed.

You’ll need to wear protective eyewear during your treatment.

The specialist will move the laser over the target area, and you’ll likely experience a warm sensation on the skin. Your skin’s dermis layers will be the laser’s target and why you experience the warm sensation.

Moisturizer may or not be applied, depending on the technician’s recommendations.

Results are gradual, so you won’t notice an immediate difference, although you may look flush for the first few hours after treatment.

In general, it can take three to four weeks for your body’s collagen levels to continue increasing and for the new cells created by the treatment to move to your skin’s surface.

Multiple sessions, often on a weekly basis, will be required to meet your desired results.
